Pakistan Cyber Force or a proxy for Al Qaeda Propaganda?
For past few months I have followed a website with the name Pakistan Cyber Force. They also have a very active Facebook Page. They write about variety of topics, from National to International Politics, Conspiracy Theories, Arab Spring, Afghan War and the list goes on.
The month of April was marked by one of the most deadly attacks by Afghan Taliban targeting NATO and foreign embassies in Kabul. Print and Electronic Media, both National and International covered the story as the events unfolded in the days following April 14th. Al Qaeda propaganda websites were active too, propagating about the latest attacks by the Afghan Taliban. One such website is www.arrahmah.com, an Indonesian Al Qaeda propaganda website available in many languages including English.
After reading the story on Pakistan Cyber Force, when I read the same news article on Arrahmah.com, it was clear where PCF got all the news of the war from areas which are almost impossible for journalists to report from. So now the question is, Is PCF an umbrella Al Qaeda online propaganda machine which shares the same propaganda news articles what Al Qaeda wants the world to read? This is a question that only Pakistan Cyber Force can answer.
